Today we drove to the North shore and went to the Waimea Valley and up to the Falls. I found the flowers that I have been missing here in Hawaii. Below are a few. This little critter greeted us on the stairs as we started are hike.

The falls and we did not go swimming as the water was very muddy!! Others we swimming. 
It was 3/4 mile hike to the falls.
this is what the sky looks like most days--cloudy on the horizon and over the mts even if sunny overhead.
We had to use these stairs to get to and from the car for Alicia's MD appt that was in the pink buildings.
